Listed below are some of the most common questions people ask about the LKW 5K Fun Run. You can also contact us at: lkwfoundation@gmail.com or Stacey at 307-747-6579

No. You can walk or run. The event is intended to be fun for everyone.

Absolutely! We will have a time display available at the finish line.

The Lind K. Woody Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit orginization, established in 1999 with the primary focus of improving the quality of life in the Bridger Valley area. Proceeds from the 5k Color Run will go to both the Children's Learning Foundation and for a counseling endeavor geared toward children at-risk. We welcome any feedback in regards to the needs that you see in our community that we might be able to help with.

All children 5 and under can run with an adult Free of charge and do not need to register. Unregistered children do not get the race packet, but there will be plenty of fun at the event.

For the safety of our runners and our animal friends, we do not allow animals at any of our events.

No age limits! If they can cover the three miles of course (running, jogging, walking, strolling) they can patricipate. Remember though, as soon as they turn 6 they will need to register and have a race bib.

If you are preregistered, on the day of the race you will be asked to sign a waiver and you can pick up your packet. You can also register and receive your packet on race day.

We recommend that you wear white so that the color will show better, but you are welcome to wear whatever you choose. Remember that the color may not wash out of the clothing so don't wear anything that you wouldn't want to get stained.

White isn't absolutely necessary, but your colors will show better if you wear white.

You will see smiling faces along the course whose main goal is to douse you in colorful powder to ensure that you look like you ran through a colorful rainbow by the time you cross the finish line.

The color does mostly wash out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn't mind getting colorful. If you would like to preserve the color in your running shirt, spray it with vinegar and iron it. If you wash your shirt...the color will eventually come out.

The color powder used for this event is non-toxic and free of heavy metals. The bright colors are cornstartch and FD&C dyes. As with any substance, you will want to keep it out of your eyes and our color throwers will aim low as you pass by. Participants may wish to wear glasses or goggles for their eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for their mouths.

We will have some blow driers available at the finish line. With a good dusting off, you won't be 100% clean but you should be good for the drive home.

We recommend that you bring some towels for the inside of your car, or a change of clothes, just in case.

Absolutely! We will have powder packets available (first come/first serve) for everyone to purchase. You may want to warn them though... they probably won't leave the event clean!

Photographers are totally fine shooting from a medium distance (25-30 feet). If you want to get shots right in the midst of the color, then we recommend covering cameras/ phones with plastic wrap.

The walk/run will not be a timed event, However, we will have a time station at the finishline for those interested in knowing their time.

If an event is held as advertised, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Just make sure that you are good to go before signing up. If for some reason you can't make it to race day, please contact us and we will arrange for you to get your race packet.

If you have an ADA need please contact us at lkwfoundation@gmail.com or Stacey at 307-747-6579 to make arrangements.

Please contact us at lkwfoundation@gmail.com, or Stacey at 307-747-6579 and we'll help you out with the transfer.

It is totally up to what you and your doctor decide. The powder is non-toxic. We recommend wearing sunglasses or goggles and a bandana over you mouth and nose in the color zones, just for extra protection.

A little rain won't stop us! If severe weather does threaten the event, we will reschedule it. All registered participants will be notified.
